The President is a dope.
I thought he was just nuts, but no, the people who voted for Gore in 2000 had it right. He's a dope. Problem is, when you give a dope a gun...... Well, this festering open sore is the kind of thing you get. AND, he's got the biggest gun on the planet.
It IS Vietnam all over again. That's why there is no draft. Our young people would be rising up against this stupidity if they understood the cost to them.

Is the president a dope? Well, I'd have to disagree slightly with the terminology. For Bush to be a dope would be to allow him a loophole of ignorance. The term implies a sort of lack of awareness to his actions. I firmly believe that El Presidente is fully aware of the millions of people he putting in harms way and murduring everyday! He knows the game he is playing and I do not want to give him the luxury of a grammerical loophole. He is not simply at fault for being a DOPE, as careless as we know he is, but he should also be labeled a CRIMINAL for his actions against what is good and just in this world. He is at fault for his crimes against humanity! Let us hope that when this nation decides to hold him accountable (or wake up and smell the Vietnam flashbacks) that we will not have to deal with the vague "did you inhale?" terminology and call him exactly what he is...a murderer
As is often said, the difference between the I.R.S. and the robber gang is that the former is cloaked in the legitimacy of law, the latter naked to power. The president has the unbridled authority to make war. He is cloaked in the legitimacy of law and authorized his power. To disagree, and prevail in disagreement, requires recourse to the races of revolution. You want to toss discernment to the wind? Reject all order?
Democracy? Democracy knows not right and wrong. Nor can it. Democracy allows centralization of power, of message, of majoritarian rule. Those who cry out democracy, call for strength – and tyranny. Read the founders – they despised democracies. Read the histories – democracies are often warlike. It is natural.
“Dope” or “criminal,” Jana is on to something here. Best not let evil deeds go unpunished by slips of tongue. Unfortunately, this use of criminal is rhetorical. There is little that can be criminal in what an executive power decrees. We are the fools who toil the fields. Democracy enslaves. And to the president nearly all is legitimate.
